Micro-Blaze Out Product Info

Micro-Blaze Out® is a combination of microbes, surfactants and non-hazardous foaming agents, and can be applied in the same way as your typical AFFF products. It has been found to be the most effective when used in lower concentrations, such as 1% or 3%.

When applied to hydrocarbon spill fires, a foam blanket initially smothers the fire, but then the unique properties of the proprietary surfactants allow for thorough penetration of the fire substrate. This occurs immediately with spill fires of diesel, kerosene, etc. With aromatic spill fires such as gasoline or heptane, it may require up to ten minutes to render the spilled product non-flammable, depending upon quantities and the amount of Micro-Blaze Out® applied.

Advantages of Micro-Blaze Out vs. Using Conventional Fire Foams
  • No Danger of Flashback or Re-ignition
Once Micro-Blaze Out is applied, the foam blanket smothers the fire while its penetrating properties break up the hydrocarbon's molecular chain, rendering it inflammable.
  • Cleans the Environment
Within minutes of application, Micro-Blaze Out's microbial blend starts to digest the hydrocarbon contaminants, converting them into harmless CO2 and water.
  • Requires less water and product
Saves departments' time, money and manpower.
  • Runoff acceptable at wastewater treatment plants (WTPs)
Micro-Blaze Out does not contain any fluorosurfactants or other toxic ingredients that can cause excessive foaming in WTPs.
